ABOUT SUJAY
Sujay is a M.D./M.Eng. senior at Texas A&M Engineering Medicine and Houston Methodist Hospital. He was a Thoracic Surgery Scholar at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) - Harvard Medical School and has interviewed with FOX to share his contributions to thoracic medicine. Sujay completed an acting internship in integrated cardiothoracic surgery at Cleveland Clinic. He is a STS Looking to the Future scholar and ATS student scholar.
Sujay has a B.S. in biomedical engineering with a focus on biomaterials and regenerative medicine from the UT Cockrell School of Engineering. He was a clinical research associate at Medpace, where he helped manage clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. Sujay has corporate experience in medical/surgical device design, development, and strategy at Becton Dickinson (C.R. Bard) and ConvaTec Group plc. He was a visiting student at Cambridge University and was nominated for the premier Goldwater Scholarship which recognizes academic excellence and outstanding research.
His first-author original research articles have been published in the Annals of Palliative Medicine and the Annals of Thoracic Surgery Short Reports. Sujay was a student member of the American College of Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He is interested in opportunities at the intersection of bioengineering, business, and medicine.
